VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR
SHUTDOWN
We
are in need of
volunteers to do
some minor painting
and cleanup both in
and outside of the
Club. Work parties
are being formed for
the week of July 28.
This is a time
honored tradition at
Charlotte Harbor, so
join the others who
have already
volunteered by
contacting either
Woody Woodward, John
Aloisi or Karen.
Lunch and
refreshments will be
provided.

CHYC CROQUET
The two CHYC croquet
courts west of the parking lot
are now available for play for a CHYC members.
The course is yard not putting green quality but that
can add to the enjoyment of the play.
Several of us plan to
play every Friday at 4 p.m. and afterwards adjourn for happy hour;
please feel free to join us.
The Endowment Committee
is already talking about a tournament so we need to start practicing.
The croquet sets are
available via sign-out in the office Friday form 4 p.m. to Sunday at
closing. During the week the sets will be available in the Dockmasters
office. The last player is asked to return the sets to the office or
Dockmaster. The courts will be not be open on Mondays due to mowing.
Wickets will stay in place Tuesday thru Sunday.
Rules are available in a
plastic holder on a stake at the edge of the croquet courts.

Interested in
Kayaking????
We
have had a number of
members ask for a
kayaking club at CHYC,
to allow experienced
members to use their
boats with other CHYC
members and allow less
experienced members to
try the sport and decide
if they wish to learn
more.
Don Kidwell has agreed
to assist with the
formation of this group.
If
you have any interest in
learning more about this
sport or this new group
at CHYC, please send an
e-mail to Don at
sailH40@aol.com
and let him know that
you are interested, and
would like to learn
more. If there is no
interest, we will
abandon the idea, so be
sure to send an e-mail
if you wish to see this
activity in our club.
